Wet spring soils swelled up with water pushed this basement wall inward. As you can see the crack in the wall is opened up wide. About a half of an inch. The next photo will show the wall is pushed back and the crack is closing as the wall is straightened.
Mr. and Mrs. Dixon had been dealing with this problem for awhile now but decided to call Midwest Basement Systems when their son tripped over the front stoop and hurt himself.
Mr. Dixon called and wanted somebody to come out and take a look to see if it was something that could get fixed. The System Design Specialist described to him what we could for him. He explained how we would level the concrete and how it would be done.
Travis came out and did the work for Mr. and Mrs. Dixon. They were very happy with the work that was done. They told Travis that they would recommend us for anything if the future.
Returning customers Jessica and Chris J’s back patio and front sidewalk were starting to sink. Water was starting to pool on their back patio and with a young daughter, they wanted a safe spot for her to play. Having had previous concrete repair done with us, they decided to give us another call.
System Design Specialist, Dan King came out and was able to identify the problem. The water was pooling because the soil under the rest of the patio was making it go in all different directions. The control joints expanded the slab openings and allowed water to easily access the soil.
We were able to fix the concrete in the back and front by using PolyLevel to level and stabilize the patio and front step. We then used Nexus Pro to fill in all of the control joints and cracks to prevent water from entering again.

Jessica and Chris J.’s back patio and front sidewalk were starting to sink, with a young daughter, they wanted to make sure the concrete was safe for their family. They noticed that on the back patio water was starting to pool and the concrete was starting to sink making a noticeable gab.
We had System Design Specialist Dan King go to their home to evaluate what we could do to repair the concrete. He was able to identify that the water was collecting was because the control joints had expanded the slab openings, which allowed water to wash away the soil and cause sinking.
We were able to use two products to repair the concrete, PolyLevel and Nexus Pro. The PolyLevel was able to level and stabilize the concrete, while Nexus Pro was used to fill the control joints and cracks.
Mike has lived in his house for about ten years and he was noticing some different smells and mold in his house. He has little kids running around his house all the time and he was thinking that he needed to get this fixed. He called Midwest Basement Systems and asked one of our System Designer Specialists come out to talk to him about the issue. We told him that we needed to install a dehumidifier in his crawl space and do some other work throughout the whole crawl space.
We went through the steps of repairing his crawl space. The steps to repair it is to fix the ground water leakage, isolate the house form the earth, and seal out outside air. Mike is grateful for the work performed that made his home a healthier, safer, place!
