During heavy rain and melting snow, water seeps into the basement. We bought the house just about a year ago, and are trying to find a waterproofing solution that will hopefully save the drywall and interior work that has already been done. The house has settled some and there are some definite low points that direct water right towards the foundation. We had heard an exterior drainage system might help, but we are gathering information and quotes before we proceed.

We just did a new block foundation and seem to have water seepage. The person that installed the basement can't seem to figure it out and I just need another option- we haven't even moved into the house yet- it is new construction. It has been tiled, tarred, we have a sump pump- it seems as though everything should just work right yet water is finding ways in. We are getting gutters in the next 3 weeks, the house is getting grading next week, we had plans to finish the basement so we have it framed but I don't feel comfortable doing that now.

Our basement has a block foundation, and on occasion has had water during heavy rain events. Fortunately, the water does flow to the drain, but with a growing family, we would like to be able to utilize the space in the future for more than just storage, and not have to worry about what comes with a damp, dirty basement. It does not have a sump pump. We would like to make the space more livable and potentially finish parts of it. I only hope one of the 3 guys here to do the work is ok. You had to call and do our work a day later than originally scheduled because of an injury he sustained on a job the day before. Lo and behold, this guy was at work the next day at our place and I sure hope he didn't re injure himself!

I have recently purchased a new half of a duplex with a 4 foot crawl space beneath. I am not at all familiar with crawl spaces and what is recommended. Presently my house is situated on a lot (and surrounding lots) that drain to my house instead of away. I have had standing water surrounding my house much of the winter. So far my crawl space has no water. The contractor sprayed a type of insulation on the floor of the crawl space that he says will keep out any moisture and I will not have to worry about mold, etc. There is no drain tile surrounding the house. Is my crawl space sufficiently protected from water/moisture, or what should be done to make it so? Do you come on-site to do free evaluations and estimates? I am anxious to get this taken care of as soon as possible so I can landscape my lot this spring. Thank you.
