Falling Support Beam Replaced in Des Moines, IA

In this homeowner's basement, the builders used a 4x4 support beam to hold the weight of the home. Underneath this support beam was a supporting post that was knocked over to the point in which the support beam had no additional support structure. The homeowner saw this and was immediately concerned that her home would have many problems because of it, so she decided to give us a call. 

We had System Design Specialist Ryan Allen go to inspect the basement's support structure and determine what support structure would best replace the failed support post. Ryan discussed the severity of the situation with the homeowner, and they came to the conclusion to have this installed and completed as quickly as possible, so Ryan called one of our installation teams.
