I have a client looking at the home at this address. They would like to buy the house but are concerned about some water in the basement. They would like an estimate of what it would take to mitigate the situation. To an untrained eye, it appears the water is coming down the foundation through a crack in the driveway.

Need quote on bowing basement walls on property im purchasing.
Project Location: Hampton, IA
Hi, Ever since I bought my house, I have had trouble with my basement. My basement has never completely flooded although there were a couple of occasions where I had standing water in parts of my basement (one of those times the electricity went out so the sump pump was not working). However, when I get torrential rain, water seeps in a couple of rooms at the base of the wall and floor. Because of that, I installed a second sump pump in my basement. Now, with the heavy rain we had on May 26, water is starting to come in places where it never has before (the main room in the basement). Like the others, it comes in at the base of the wall and floor. My basement is roughly 30x40. This seepage does not cause widespread flooding in the basement, but enough to cause headaches. I would like to do something to make it floodproof in an economical way. My back yard does not help much as it does not slope away from the house, but rather it has a little bit of a valley in the middle of the yard. Let me know if there is someone available to take a look at it and see what can be done. Thanks!

We have a half finished basement. The half that isn't finished has a crawl space and a "utility" room that is also being used as a work out room. The house was built in the late 70's. We have two concerns. We often get a sewer smell from the basement and we are not sure if it comes from the crawl space, drains, or sump pump hole. Ideally, we would like the issue fixed and would like to have the crawl space dug out and have the unfinished side "partially finished" or to a better quality. Do you do drain work when you fix basement issues or do you have the ability to figure out where the smell is coming from? Do you dig out crawl spaces? If so, we are interested in a quote. Thanks!

My basement leaks water from various places. One seems to originate from the concrete floor at the base of the steps that lead from the basement to the garage. Another from the wall, perhaps in another room. There are a few minor spots on numerous concrete blocks near the basement floor that flake away if touched. I would be interested in finishing the basement at some point in the future if I could get it to stay dry first.

Due to our location, water runs down into our yard and then seeps into our basement. We have had 1-2" of water in our whole basement...seeps through cracks in walls and floors. Have one sump pump current working (even works in winter) Want a dry basement as are wishing to remodel in future (also mold in basement from wetness) and must put everything up on a brick or off floor. Best time to visit us is Saturdays.
