Bowing Walls Fixed in Monroe, IA

Ben was doing some woodworking in his basement and noticed that one of his basement walls was bowing in slightly.  He didn't think too much of it until a second wall started bowing in too. As the walls continued to bow, he decided it was time to call someone because he was concerned about the structural stability of his home.  

After Midwest Basement Systems evaluated the situation, the solution presented included equipping Ben’s basement with twelve ceiling high PowerBraces. These will stabilize Ben’s basement walls and prevent them from bowing in any further. With patience and regular tightening of the braces, the walls can be eventually straightened out completely.

New Sump Pump Installed in Newtown, IA

A rental owner  in Newtown, IA was growing concerned over a sump pump in his rental property. The sump pump was very old and was worried that it would fail. He wanted a peace of mind in knowing the system would keep on working, so he gave Midwest a call.

A service technician was able to identify that the sump pump was over 10 years old and was still functioning but did recommend getting a new pump because there was no telling when the current one would stop working.  The crew installed the m98 sump pump.

Concrete Stoop Repair in Newton, IA

This family was experiencing sinking and settling of their main stoop in front of their home. They were worried about trip hazards and water being directed into their basement. They knew of the Midwest reputation, and gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Brandon Cunningham, came out to meet with them. Brandon found there was poor compaction of soil in the slab, which was causing it to sink and start to crack. He went back to the family with these findings and together they decided on a solution. They decided we use Polylevel to lift and level the stoop back into place, and NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks. Best thing about these products are they are waterproof, so they prevent washout from rainfall over the years. The family loved this solution, and we sent out our installation team! There is no doubt this family has the peace of mind they needed.
