Before joining Midwest Foundation Repair, Ryan worked 3 years as an apprentice electrician and 3 years in senior sales. Originally from Grinnell, IA, Ryan lives in Elkhart, IA. He and his fiancé just built a house in Elkhart and lived there with her two daughters and a 6-week-old baby. He enjoys spending time with the family, attending their children’s activities, hunting, fishing, camping and watching or playing sports.
At Midwest, we work every day to deliver a wow experience and challenge the status quo. One way we do that is by walking along with the best in the industry. In Ryan’s words, “I am most excited to help people solve their problems while providing excellent customer service. I chose to work for the company because of Thrasher's reputation in being a great company to work for.”
During an annual service appointment Service Technician Ryan Allen was able to identify foundation problems in Daryl B.’s home. During the inspection Ryan was able to show Daryl increasing wall failure and deflection. This led to a conversation about how to stop the wall failure from getting worse and permanent solutions to save the walls.
Due to moving soils and water issues, there was pressure on the walls which was leading to wall failure. The crew installed PowerBraces, which are galvanized I-beams that are securely fastened to concrete basement floors and attached to the joists, fully stabilizing the foundation walls from shifting ever again. Daryl B. was extremely pleased with this solution to prevent future issues.
By scheduling annual maintenance appointments, we were able to detect a problem and come up with a solution that led to earlier detection and cost savings.
William is a proud homeowner in Iowa and wants to be sure that his home is structurally supported. His previous supports were insufficient and he was getting water in his basement.
We sent System Design Specialist, Ryan, out to provide a free on-the-spot estimate. We installed our Smart Jacks to stabilize the home while adding Ice Guards and burying the discharges to protect the basement from water.
The customer had water coming into her basement from her window, walls and floor joints.
We waterproofed in the problem areas by installing CleanSpace, well ducts, and a poly well. These all helped remove water from the basement and keep the area dry for her grandkids.
Erin V. was having trouble with their sump pump working correctly. They missed their annual maintenance and needed to a quick fix before it rained again due to fears of causing damage to their home. So, they decided to call Midwest Foundation Repair.
Service Technician Ryan Allen arrived at the home and was able to see high amounts of sediment in pits. We installed 2 new sump pumps and also put a new battery in for the battery backup system. The team also clean out the pit and removed any debris and cleaned the area to ensure optimal operation for the systems. We were able to provide this customer a peace of mind knowing the system was back up and running again.
